I am so thrilled that when my friends at JORD Watches decided to gift one of their timepieces, they had me in mind. These watches have completely taken over the blogging world and it’s easy to see why.
First, a little bit about this company. JORD is a company that is creating handcrafted luxury watches, while using sustainable resources. Their focus is on creating unique timepieces for the modern lifestyle. Sounds pretty awesome if you ask me.
Now, let’s talk watches. Ok, so if I’m being completely honest here, I’ve always loved wearing watches, but not because of the time telling aspect. To me, a watch is a piece of jewelry. It should be something that reflects your personal style, while fulfilling its functionality.
That being said, I LOVE jewelry that is different and unexpected, but can also be incorporated into my everyday life. I never thought I would wear a watch made of wood. In fact, if you would have told me about these watches before I saw them with my own eyes, I probably wouldn’t have given them a second thought.
But after seeing a JORD timepiece, I was taken aback. They were not at all what I would have expected of a wood watch! They were elegant and sophisticated, while maintaining simplicity.
To say that these watches are unique is an understatement! What’s so great about these JORD watches though, is that the wood feature sets them apart from every other watch. The numerous wood types and tones are absolutely beautiful and each piece is hand carved, meaning that no two watches are alike. The way that the wood band blends into the face of the watch is simple and effortless, adding to its appeal.
The options when choosing a JORD timepiece are endless. You can choose between a minimalist style, large face, small face, Swarovski crystals, or even an Apple band. And these watches aren’t just for women, they’re for men, too!
When I saw the FRANKIE Purpleheart & Plum, I knew immediately that this was the watch for me. The rich purple wood accented by the purple tones of the face were exactly what I wanted. I was instantly envisioning the many ways that I wanted to style this piece. It was just the right pop of color to add to some of my favorite neutral looks.
After receiving my beautifully boxed watch, I’m as in love with it as I thought I would be. It’s just as gorgeous in person as it was in the photos.
